THE BROOK SCHOOL ON BROADWATER FARM

Wellbeing Support – Who to Talk To

R · E · S · P · E · C · T  –  A Wellbeing Mindset

At The Brook, every adult in the school is here to support you and your child. You do not usually need an appointment to speak to someone. Our open door policy means any member of staff is available to listen, help or point you in the right direction. If you are ever unsure who to speak to, start with your child’s class teacher — they will always know the next step.

🚪  Open Door Policy

Any family can approach any member of staff at any time — before school, at drop off or pick up, or by telephone or email. No concern is too small. No question is too informal. We want to hear from you.

If Your Child Cannot Tell Us Themselves

At The Brook, most of our pupils are non-verbal and cannot tell a teacher directly when something is wrong. Every member of staff is trained to recognise changes in behaviour, body language and engagement that signal a pupil needs support. Every child has a named key adult who knows them individually. If your child is distressed at home, please contact us — we will work with you to understand what your child is communicating and how we can help.
