Residential and Educational Visits

The development of life and independent skills are a significant part of our core curriculum as we are educating our children to be able to live the lives they want to live when they reach adulthood.  These visits play an important role in developing social and independence skills and enance the more formal aspects of the curriculum.  Therefore, we offer a varied programme of visits and school journeys in order to expose our children to as many new experiences and venues as possible..  Any activities that involve the children going off site, are extremely well staffed in accordance with the needs of our pupils.

The Brook School runs a special journey for our Year 6 pupils in the Summer Term. Where possible we aim for this to be a residential trip but last year, due to COVID restrictions, all Year 6s ‘Went Wild’ at Lambourne End in Essex.  They enjoyed a variety of activities over the three days and got back to school in time for their usual Borough transport run.  We think that Lambourne End will now be one of our favourite ‘go to’ places.

Our Educational Visits Policy is here.
